Tall grass,eldaberry and cattail grew
Summer boredom had long set in nothing new Nothing to do
In the draining ditch water ran clear
A child of the fifties with nothing to fear
Nothing,but a bear
Korea a far off place
Johnie and Joe write pray for peace
Young men die frozen in ice
A while later an apple orchard a patch of shade
Teeth clench on grass a single blade
On my back Queen Anns Lace on display
On a stem of a mushroom cloud
Happydays a generation called now
Rock&Roll blaring loud
Ricky Nelson sings Mary Lou
Buddy Holly strums Peggy Sue
Elvis Presely marches to a different tune
Sleeply gazing up through an apple tree
Angel wings appear as soft as the breeze
Speckles of white shifting with ease
The warm summer sun shifts its way through
Fear not I Am always with you
Boredom thoughts turn to school
"Drop to the floor" cover your head
An Atomic Bomb drill "pray you be dead"
Usless to bend and kiss your behind
Upon my face splattered warm sunlite
Feeling the warmth of earths greater light
Feeling touch by the Holy Spirits
love,power and might

This is excellent and very descriptive.. You really tell a story and yet still give it a very poetic feel... Not easy to do.

This was pretty darn good, I thought effort went into the images it
created and the flow/rhythm of the lines. Nice job, it also added in the
real life stories and things another person could relate to.
