all my dreams in front of me, worrys far away,
going swimming, going scrumping, playing with my mates
playing skipping, playing two balls, riding on my skates.

When I close my eyes, I can see that little kid,
playing in the swing park, doing all the things she did,
having fights with the boys, climbing up a tree,
hair blowing in the wind, full of life and free.

Oh if only, I could be that kid again,
getting in the window, climbing up the drain,
getting told off, for walking in bare feet,
eating bread and jam,as I walked down the street,
spotting my friends, SHOUTING OUT, their name,
how Id love to be that little kid again.

Spending pocket money,on gobstoppers and sweets,
playing marbles with my friends, calling them all cheats,
I cant be that kid again, i've left her far behind,
I have to be content, with her living in my mind,
If I ever want to be her, just for a day,
I close my eyes and call her, and she comes out to play. This poem is great. (It's okay to go back to being a kid if you have a kid with you) I can definately relate to this.
