Array ( [sid] => 103054 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => All Too Late [time] => 2005-08-09 02:42:14 [hometext] => A recent situation brought this on... just a thought as to some people don't realize how important they are, and probably will never know. [bodytext] => The words flow from your lips,
Sentences swarming around me... thick in the air.
They steal the breath from me.
And I know the words that I want to say,
My lips make the motions... but I can't breath.
A pain in my chest, so hard to concentrate.

You stand and the air shimmers around you,
I can smell your skin; your self so close, can feel the heat.
My body is so fatigued... I want to raise my arms:
They don't move
I want to stand be near you:
But I don't move.
And I want to say these words...
Your scent, your heat. I can't think.

And the air currents whip about behind you,
the soft breezes gently caressing my cheeks.
There's sand in my mouth, I want to yell...
Ropes tying me down, I struggle to move.
The roof holds me down, the walls steal my sound.
The air makes me invisible.

I want to tell you I love you,
Tell you that with you, I have no other needs.
Hold you tight, feel your arms around me.
I want to take in your breath, taste your lips...
My body springs; my arms flail.
I scream how much I need you.
Emotions stream down my face,
my hands tremble at the sudden shock.
All too late... you're already gone.
My mind races, my heart pounds...
I scream how much I need you:
All too late... you're already gone.

Very emotional writing, penned with skill. The best thing about this, I think, is the figures of speech you've employed, judiciously and with eloquence. I greatly enjoyed it.
