do you even know I'm here?
Even if my eyes did not seek you,
I'd feel your heat and strength.
Fear so thick it fills the air
Do they notice or even care,
I act oblivious but are you fooled?

Do I haunt your dreams,
Do you wake with guilt and look at her?
It can't be just me.
A dream is the truth awake you can't see.
While the years have lessened the frequency,
the intensity is breathtaking.

I wonder if we are meant to be, but
at a different time and in a new place.
Did our souls once live and love,
or are they meant to? [comments] => 7 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 48 [informant] => anitajames [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

That is an intriquing view on "lust" I don't quite think of lust like that. You put a good light on what I think is a bad word. Great write.

In my mind when I see the word lust, it's sister is adultery because that was the combination in my marriage. How can one love one person supposedly and lust after another? I let him free to lust and as usual it ended up to be nothing, but then so did our marriage.

Smiles,
Rita

Another lovely write,

Loved the end line: Did our souls once live and love, or are they meant to?

Everything in our life is there for a reason and so are the people you meet in your entire life, they are there for a purpose yet unknown.

Well done.

Nats.

Too many thought... interesting, though, and well written.
Take care.
