To someone you must, resent
I know, this must be hard
But it won't take long, my friend
To start over again

Days feel like years, to me
Just wipe away your tears, you'll see
I'm not who I used to be
My days have grown cold not warm
My life it feels old not young
It's time for this life to be done

A man of my youth
Referring to truth's, gone bad
Life's not worth being sad
We have to press on
I can no longer look back
At all that I had, that's gone
It's time to move on

I'll take this chance
That you've given me
We'll see if it lasts
Or if this was destiny
Friends till the end
Is this the end, we'll see
I'm not who I used to be

Thank you, for giving your trust
To someone you must, resent
I know, this must be hard
But it won't take long, my friend

This is good. I could not find the rhythym after trying several beats but the words are very cool and remind me of my relationship with my mom before she died

I really like the second verse.
The rhyming scheme is amazing.
