The scent embraced me..comforting, and sweet
Here I am, treating life as a game
And still it knocks me off my feet
I hold it until I know it's heated
Against my skin I press it
Funny how I barely feel it
And yet I hate to supress it
It forms slowly
At first it's nothing..a small sting
I think about it plainly
And it evolves into everything
A circular burn
So much pain, and it's my turn
To feel
To heal
I want to know this is real
It forms..and now I'm scarred
Could I have taken this too far?
I'm holding back
And if I keep this going I might crack
No one knows
It's my dirty little secret
My guilty pleasure
And I know you'd never approve
But I made the first move
It's my choice
Though it scares me that I don't care
But I can't be scared of somehing that was never there
These scars are my reminder that I'm still here
As while as a way to run from my fears
Won't you save me?
Before it's too late?
And these circular burns..
Drive me insane..

A very good poem, I can relate to this, only it feels as if something is burning through my heart. SLipSiX.
