I had a friend before,
but now those days are gone,
they dont come around any more,

I'm not one to get out much,
So friends I can never seek,
the ones I had all lost touch,
my faith has gotten weak,

now I could really use a friend,
they're all too far away,
so I write a letter to send,
just to tell them I'm ok!

who wants to hear the problems I've got,
when their lives are great?
So I write to them & lie alot,
which is something I hate,

I want them to think my life is grand,
& for the most part it is,
But they just wouldnt understand,
when they are in happiness,

they have it all,money,house & cars,
so why would they want a friend like me,
they would see my hidden scares,
So I will just let them be,

I have the love of my family,
thats enough to get me through,
who needs all those other things,
When the love is strong & true!

I know what friendship is,
I had a friend before,
but now those days are gone,

Always be cautious of the ones who tell you that they are fine and happy with everything in their lives, they are the ones that hide the very same thing you speak of in this poem...Every family, household and relationship has their troubles in time...do not feel so alone Christina that candle blowed out during christmas wasn't for nothing...and this new years trials that you are facing is as well for nothing....stand tall and fight...i know you will and i know you can...because in you i see no weak...but only strength as you are of course....

Oh boy.....
This is very sad.
Today I have things but those I shared it with have all passed on. So never think that way. Loved ones can/'/t be replaced....and because of that we write our sadness.
