with flavourful truth,
warming my heart to a glow

I remember the summers
of innocent youth,
more than i'll ever let show.

I swam in the songs
that we danced along to,
I never felt so alive

You handed out smiles
and i felt they were true,
cause your eyes just couldn't tell lies.

You were the missing piece
to my memories of home,
and all that was happiness there

Now that i've found you
and knowing i was never alone,
i wish i had shown you more care.

Cause I was sad when we faded
like snow in the sun,
I wish my mistake would melt too

But i'll keep you in me
with the memories of fun,
for Tara, it's true...

...this is for you.

This is so lovely Dwayne! What a beautiful and endearing tribute...It flowed flawlessly, and your emotions shined through your words---you say you're having difficulties writing lately??? I beg to differ!! I love this stanza:

"Cause I was sad when we faded
like snow in the sun,
I wish my mistake would melt too..."

Wow. Very nicely done Dwayne! I think you may have found a new niche : )
