I just want to fly

Fly away from this place of broken dreams

Away from this collection of silent screams

Escape from the wishes that will never come true

an't I just fly into the sky so blue?

I'll soar like a bird, across the skies

I'll get away from these evil lies.

Why can't someone just understand?

Sometimes, we just need someone to hold our hand

Why can't I just try?

To fly away across the sky?

Hia Sylvia, this is lovely escapism. It reminded me of the time my youngest daughter Brittany was playing 'Superman'. (She was around 3 years old). Anyway, she was merrily playing in the back garden, when suddenly my wife and I heard a scream. You see, Brittany had tried to fly from the top of a small flight of steps and succeeded in landing on her face. A bit worrying at the time but funny to look back on. Obviously she assumed that as she was playing at being Superman, she would be able to fly.
