Nobody likes lukewarm,
tepid
makes for nausea
So feel damit ,

but don't leave me
in your tepid indecision
Where my beating heart
will soon
stand still.

My heart longs to beat
with fiery emotion

dance with me........

I like your expression alot in this piece Carol, and I didn't find you too rusty : )
The third stanza is my favourite, as it is so true, and speaks volumes...I also like the way love is pitted against hate in a reoccuring theme throughout this write. Your use of italics was good too, and it added substance to your words. However 'Damit' in bold stood out to me in a way it shouldn't have. I think I would've left it without the bold print, and instead either put the second 'Feel' in bold instead, or in italics even...Overall I think you did a wonderful job, and I enjoyed reading this!

Very good observations on the opposites in life, love and everything to do with it! It sure feels like a challenge placed upon the reader to experience both ends of the spectrum.
i especially liked the lines:
Make me feel
Feel for me
My heart longs to beat
with fiery emotion.

Yes,few want that tepid middle ground,nonchalance is not an option.Passion please but anger rather that hatred for me.Short but gutsy poem that hit the mark for me.
