Watch the waters flow
Over and around rocks
How tranquil don’t you know

A lovely place to sit
And just soak up the atmosphere
Join me by the river
Come sit next to me here

Listen to the bird’s song
See the butterfly
Join me by the river
Watch the clouds in the sky

Join me by the river
And bring your guitar
We will sing and relax
Drink some ice tea from a jar

No finer place is there
Than this spot on river bed
Join me by the river
I guarantee you will be glad

This is such a lovely piece of work. I have done this many times. As a child, my family would camp along the river and we would fish and play and enjoy nature. Lovely memories, thank you.

Oh Shari, this was just so wonderful. Reminds me of all the times I've done just that! Watercolor the beautiful Aspen, and watch the clouds meander by. Is there anything better than Nature to put you to ease and make you glad you are alive.
How comforting your poem. Let me know when you go again, I'll be tagging along!
Warm love
consue

Nothing like the peace and tranquility of the water to bring memories flooding back. Oh, how many wonderful times by the river I had growing up and still today retreat to the water whenever necessary. Nice job
