I had many computer problems and just found it today. So this poem is especially written for Rita, our Morning Dove here at YPDC [bodytext] => For all those that have lost
a loved one, this won't put
their arms around you now,
but it will help you endure
the pain of their being gone.

YOU'LL MEET AGAIN 'ROUND A BEND

The day was overcast and hazy,
No sun for days, hidden clouds lazy.
I found a beautiful woman all alone,
Quietly sobbing hiding her emotions
not wanting them known.

My husband was barely alive.....
They had told him he may not survive
When told I went into shock,
Envious because she was able to cry
I had "tear-lock!"

I handle tragic news by walking,
As I passed her chair I heard her murmuring
"How can I go on without you?"
I don't want to live anymore, what will I do?"

I stopped suddenly, for she and I shared
the same pain.....
Her loved one died, and mine was dying.
How could I possibly pass by her,
I knew I had to remain.
She looked up and could see that
I was coming.

A dear friend had expressed words of comfort
to me, a God's send.
I began to relate. to comfort, and befriend
"He may be out of sight, but you'll meet him again
just around the bend....
'Tis like sending them on a long vacation, you
know this isn't the end....."

Missing them will only be natural, while on
vacation you miss them too......
With no uncertainty you know without any doubt
you will see them again.
Life is just for a moment, a bend in the road,
though 30 years, a disappearing dew.
N'er lose faith you'll meet again, around a bend
whether thirty or only ten.

While I sat hugging her, and speaking soothingly
I was unaware, that in nine days I would be
repeating the same message to myself bravely.
I too, had to say goodbye to my dear husband,
so kind, so loving, and true.....
A bend ago, 34 years of living, soon now he'll be coming
around that bend, his presence is due.

Created
with warm love
for those who had to
say Goodbye, stay real busy,
but never lose sight of the fact,
you'll meet again,
just 'round a bend

I thank God everyday I have friends in this world like you. Everyone grieves in their own way. Mine is just to write. It has been a long hard year, but you and so many others here have helped me survive it. I will be with him again in God's time. This time is will truly be forever. Connie, I love you, my dear dear friend.

With loving smiling tears of happiness I say to you, my dear lady, are one of God's earthly angels. Thank God he sent you to me.

How very true Consue. it is a lonesome journey for the one left behind but as you so rightly say. We Will Meet Again. Then the passing will seem like a memory. I once was very close to death and saw all my loved ones gathered to meet me. Sadly for me I came out of the coma and had to leave them all behind. Love and hugs from Martha and Bernard
