Their baby has gone missing, praying nightly is now a chore
Hatred for the enemy, but the enemy was forgotten with the first fire
The shot of a loaded gun, since then the wretched killing has aspired
Soldiers cry out in agony, proof, no proof, lies behold sanctuary
A home, a solitude, a place of serenity, bodies lank and weary
Constant booming battle beaten scars on faces and bones
Cries from angry men and bullets soar into broken men's moans

The trouble of war, the truth, reality, we fight off with waving hands
But innocent provoked people are dying in enemies hated lands
When the world opens its eyes, when the killing spree is through
Fingers will point, absurdities screamed, widows beg to know
Whose sword killed the man they loved, whose heart could slash another
Every living child wonders why there's pain inside the eyes of their
mother

While still up above are angels and the souls of those who've deceased
Whose misery was put out of mind and bodies were released
While wings grew from broken bones and angels guided strength
And tears were shed from distances on maps marked over length
God's new angels tread on clouds and try to dry their loved one's eyes
Sending messages signed I love you, from the barren, clouded skies

Foggy dreams and faded hopes, dead and lies to bury along side
War, the bigger issue, seeming death from pain we try to hide
Truth be told, to understand, breathing longer than defeat
Boldly bravery seeps from men who can't speak the word retreat
Women on their knees by the bed each night to wish them well
And thank God for having some comfort while enduring this hell

When the fighting ends with silent ears with tongues ripped out and worn
Maybe then the world will see we're broken up and torn
When shattered teeth from broken bodies try to tell their story
Maybe then we'll see that all the pain isn't worth our craved glory.

A very strong and corrageious write in deed,

very sad and yet so inevitable, where it'll lead

is anyone's guess, a very essential peice of

writting though without a doubt . . .

I do believe you just changed my entire outlook on this war.

When shattered teeth from broken bodies try to tell their story
Maybe then we'll see that all the pain isn't worth our craved glory.

These lines say it all. Great Write.
