The knife was always there
And I never knew
It cuts slowly down my back
Wanting only screams and pitiless cries
The way you grin at me
When you think I am blind
The way you feel you have total control over me
Well...you do
You want me to jump off a ***** cliff?
Let me get a weight
Want me to ***** kill someone?
Let me get the knife from my back
The only thing you have no control of and will never
Is my creativity and imagination
Although they're turning black and meaninglesss
They're still mine
And you battle for it
I will not give up my soul to you, Satan
I'll kill myself before you touch it.
It's the only thing I have
And I will not let you take it.

Well...parents should respect and honor your style choices as long as you are not endangering yourself or others with those choices. Since when does wearing a Sesame Street tee make you a fluzy anyway? I would say...don't fight it too hard and maybe they'll come around. Do you share your poetry with them? Maybe they would better understand how creative you are...and maybe they will allow some other creativity in your style of dress as well. A good piece, very theraputic. Hang in there.

you can't just decide one day to be a punk, it has to be in your head. There are only 2 people who wear a trenchcoat in my town/city me and my exboyfriend who i fell for because he had a lipring and a mohawk. dont do things because others are, do them because your expressing yourself. if your parents can't see that this is who you are then f*ck them,

Well my parents are really ***** up. I have been wearing punk shirts and whatnot and yet I'm pretty much not a punk even my friends say so. So I don't get how it involves them. They wear adult clothes(It really has no name) and I tell them that punks aren't as bad as they think. Some punks may smoke, preps may smoke too. So I really don't think that they should categorize anybody. |
