That they weren't supposed to tell

That live amongst the death and rot of Society's downward streaks

One day we will be finished
And they will sing no more

When we open up the gates of Heaven

Well... I enjoyed reading your poem even though I got lost on the theme...

Who do the birds represent?
Are they bad?
Will they stop singing when we all die?

Could well be me lol

Jordan :o)

I just had to write one more quick comment because this write was just really good babe. Its got those lines that just hang in my mind.

That live amongst the death and rot of Society's downward streaks

When we open up the gates of Heaven
And slam shut Hell's trap door

Very powerful write with no space for error….it was flawless. I love you and this is a strong subject for the both of us right now. Love you always, your Steve

"When we open up the gates of Heaven
And slam shut Hell's trap door". I am loving those lines. I say AMEN and I wish there was some way we could expedite it befor too many of the good are maimed or killed. I pray for all the heros like Steve and other friends that are over there. Everyone, man/woman is a great hero to me. The families sitting at home waiting on them are also heros of America. God bless you all.

Nicely put. Quick, straight and clear. No problem understanding how or what emotion is being felt here. Thanks for sharing
