Array ( [sid] => 101755 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Missing Pieces [time] => 2005-07-20 23:20:26 [hometext] => A funny, sweet, and maybe even a slightly twisted poem. I wrote it because my husband Steve and I were talking about what would happen if he came home from war with one less piece of himself. LW [bodytext] => You know that I would love you no matter what the cost
And you know that I would love you no matter what was lost

It isn't just your body, your lips, your nose, or ears
It isn't just your smile that I've loved for all these years

And if you were to come home missing a piece or two
I know that deep inside my heart
I would have nothing else to do

I would pick up all your pieces and then I'd find the glue
And put them all together
So that I could rebuild you

And although you may not ever be just as good as new
You would be sure to always have

This write was funny but good to read. Thank you for writing it for me and I know you will always love me no matter what happens to me. This poem was good because it talks about the physical and mental side and how you’ll always be there for me no matter what happens with either. Life is hard over here and hard on the body and mind but when I see you and my little girl everything is okay. I love you my Lea-Ann and your love is all I need to make me complete. Your forever loved….Steve

You would be sure to always have
My simple love that's true

I love you to and this is all I need in life, this is all we need in life.
