so i just sat on my window sill
and watch the whole world go to sleep
with me the only one awake
the moon shone bright acroos the land
her beauty unmistakable(sp?)
and i shared her lonliness,
her calm but heavy sadness
although there wasn't a sound
her song was there and clear
filling the space thats left behind
when all other things are silent
singing the song of lonliness
of emptiness and dispair
her song the echo of my heart
of my sorrow and my gloom

Beautiful, tragic, utterly filled with emotion: breathtaking.
