yelling was not good enough
he had to make it worse
but to the lil children
it was not only the marks he made on the outside
but the marks he made in their hearts
they did not feel loved
but they still didnt want anyone to help
so they went on with their days
as if nothing ever happened
the things that they said to hide what really happened
"i fell down the stairs"
"i ran into the wall"
the only one they told was their best friend of all
sitting on the ground
trying not to be heard
they said the special words
and whispered
"dont tell"
later in the childrens life
when they were with their mom
their best friend came and said
your father was in jail
and now your fathers dead
