Array ( [sid] => 101513 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Alone [time] => 2005-07-18 12:53:53 [hometext] => No one is truly alone in experiencing suffering... however, being physically alone during emotional moments, not having anyone to aid you through the darkness or embrace you... is a whole different world... [bodytext] => Hollow...

Resonating loneliness flooding every crevice,
My heart, an empty shell of lost dreams and forbidden romance,
The beautiful crimson rose that I once was,
Now, I am no more than a pile of black petals...
A blanket of arctic sorrow embraces me,
The wretched face of depression sneers at me through the mirror,
And the calloused hands of self-hate molest me...

Reckless attempts of restoring hope,
But hope, my dearest friend, he hides somewhere in the radiance of the sun,
And I, with my waxen wings, cannot fly to him,
Nor to the warm, welcoming arms of the Day Ruler...
How many centuries have I not seen her smile?
She sacrifices her comforting shine, yet I do not feel it...

A stubborn cloud of nostalgia and anguish casts an eternal shadow over me,
Drowning me in its cold indifference, its harsh abuse...
And where can I find my cup of sunshine?
My divine inspiration, my words laced with bliss?
I am finding no beauty in the things that once freed me...

Wrapped in soaked pillows and icy blankets,
My solitude is emphasized by the forlorn melody of raindrops,
Tears from the sky, tears from my eyes,
Creating hymns of past memories in sorrowful unison...
I feel so...

ALONE...

A poetic diary of tragic circumstanses that

engulped me with overwhelming emotions,

you are a writter of imence proportions, you

write with a ripping effect, one would do well

to warn there heart of the revealations to

come . . .

It is hard to be alone .. isn't it? Feels bleak and cold. Like this write .. I often think of rain as teardrops, but, but in a good way.. rain is so clensing, and tears are too, for the eyes, and the soul. Solitude can be forced .. or self-inflicted; either way it's lonely. I feel that in this work ..... keep posting.

Your imagery is astounding. I could feel the emptiness of what once was. Stunning work.

Wow Stephy all I can say is I can relate to
this so well at the moment. The sun is
shining, but I am angry and cold and
depressed and this poem wow I honestly
hope you don't feel like this because no one,
least of all you, deserves to feel like this. Just
every line was written so perfect and was just
filled with ache... I don't know what more to
say, but I think this is definitely one of my
favourite poems of yours.

*hugs for Steph*
