As if they knew I was gathering my thoughts, on a train.

Bunches of trees waved their branches idly in the misty breeze,
Standing with courage enough, to bring this man to his knees.
They grew obscure through the 12 inch window pane,
As if they knew I was gathering my thoughts, on a train.

Someone once said, that if you looked closely you could see the sands of time,
As I looked at the ground that passed me by
Searching for the sands that were mine.

I looked down and saw a lily beming through the haze,
Shining as if it had figured out its place in the maze.
The little lily had everything that eluded me...
Someone to love, Something to be.

Running away from reality somehow seems so vain,
But I'm alive, As long as I can gather my thoughts,
On a train.... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 74 [informant] => Mangs [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => surreal )
