That horrible day
When you told me
That we couldn’t be more than friends
I had nothing more to say

I didn’t want to talk again
Cause I was afraid I’d make myself cry
If I said something that made me think of you
It made me feel horrible, I just wanted to die

I stopped cutting
For a while
But when you told me this
I couldn’t help but smile

When I cut my flesh
Cause it made my pain go away
But it always comes back
The very next day

I wish my cuts would heal
Its limited me on what I can wear
Long sleeve shirts
I couldn’t leave my cuts bare

I wish I wouldn’t have seen you
In the library that day
Cause then I’d still be happy
Now all I do is lay

In my bed at night
And cry myself to sleep
And hope that I don’t wake up
Cause im in too deep

I wish I were still happy
But it didn’t work out that way
Lets just hope that I can

very good write! i enjoyed reading this one a lot. and i can relate. and i know it may hurt, but if they say you can't be more than friends, then they don't deserve you. please, just give yourself time to heal and don't hurt yourself. please, don't. sure, you can grieve, but you need to be strong, you can't let this person win. i wish you the best of luck in your healing!

~sprints

p.s. good write, keep up the good work!
