I Wish I Was Invisible

Contributed by flirtyrockstar on Friday, 10th January 2003 @ 12:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I want to pretend
Like everything's okay
But I'm feeling like
I'm still scared
I open my eyes
And everything's just like yesterday
I don't even try to remember,
I still belong to you,
It's rattling inside me
Like pennies in a tin box
And I'm sitting here
With that look on my face
I wish I was invisible
All of a sudden...
I'm feeling sick inside
And I'm crying
In front of everybody
Even if I pretend
Like everything's ok...
It's too late.
I want to be far away already,
I wish I was invisible.
I dont know why:
You may be the one...
But your still the one that hurts me.

I like those two lines they say a lot. I'm sure we've all felt like you've described. Its takes a while to get over someone you've loved or thought you've loved, but ya gotta keep yer chin up. Nice poem
