Cosmic mile markers
hands tied by velvet promise
If eternity unfurled
could i trace my way back
back to the beginning
of our end?
stop the inevitable
from the clad iron cheek of the demon
words so brutal
that you burned away
in all this shame
we never stood to understand
always searching to question
the unanswerable
so what else can cure me
but this divinity
how can i save the last
serene
still memory
from my words?
Holding my tongue until it bleeds
holding my breath until i give up and breathe
but gently is the way i hurt you

Very very heavy piece. From the beginning stanza
i thought it was peppered with blazing imagery
( hands tied with velvet promise...i'm not sure, but
cut wrists? tell me if otherwise)
as well, the second stanza was searing and burned
away any chance of not taking the rest of the piece
seriously. The ending was very graphic and strong
"gently is the way i hurt you" - very dynamic
Keep up the most excellent writing |
