Remember when we first met.
So much more, than physical attraction.

The world had stopped spinning.
We're to blame for that cosmic reaction.

With words we'd say, "Hello" and later, "Good-bye"
But, in our minds, we'd say, "We belong".

The last line is quite ironic.
It's the title of our favorite song.

Ever inquiring, never at a loss for words
Our conversations, like new roads to travel

Leaving some secrets to be discovered.
A few ancient mysteries to unravel.

Our first kiss was historic.
The subject of legend and lore.

To be honest, it wasn't new to me.
We'd done in my mind, a thousand times before.

While in that momentary union,
the sound around me, I could no longer hear.

But I felt the rhythmic beat of your heart,
to let me know you were near.

When we first made love,
it had the flow of a song.

The merging of mind and matter,
it seemed like days, not hours long.

Times have changed,
and you're no longer here.

Haven't heard from you for sometime.
It's been more than a year.

I can't help but be reminded,
of how it was before.

Your leaving scalded my heart.
Right down to its very core.

Months have gone by,
and I haven't seen you since December.

I long to tell you, "I love you", in my own special way.
Do you still.....remember???
