Trees glistened with moisture trickling over there
The aroma of damp vegetation in the atmosphere
The perfume of Mother Nature everywhere

The walkway continued meandering it's way through the mist
Manicured flower gardens on each side did exist
Flowers of every color and fragrance did bloom
Alive with the symphony of birds and butterflies from their cocoons

It's as if God created a piece of paradise on earth
It seemed an appropriate place to give birth
But was this meeting a foolhardy thing to do
Meeting someone initially, whom only the computer knew

There, a silhouette appproached, emerging from the mist
No computer to perform, as this was a face-to-face guest
My legs and body were a little weak, and still a loss for words
As I beheld the beauty of an angel, I was disturbed

Her radiant smile and personal glow
Immediately tranquilized me, and made me want to know
She smiled and uttered my name
Off her tongue came the melodious refrain

United together in this encounter, engineered above
Our eyes met recognizing acceptance in our quest for love
She reached out for me to hold her hand
And so a loving journey on this day began [comments] => 4 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Willofree [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

What a beautifully emotive write! Spectacular imagery running rampant in this piece...with a lovely story to go with it. Great flow too, with advanced rhyming. Well done Will...

Scorp.

What a lovely walk so early in the morning. I think I could get used to that. This is a lovely combination of nature and allure. Splendid write.

What a beautiful walk indeed Terry. Sometimes the rewards that greet you at the end of that path, make the long walk worthwhile. Very lovely. Peace to you my friend. Laura
