When things are down,

Find the penny,
Pick it up,
All day long you'll have luck.
Find a person,
Help them up,
All day long they'll have luck.
Which is best?
To help yourself,
Or save another.

When you are down,
And no ones around to save you,
Swim around.
Find someone that's down there too.
Take their hand, and don't let go.
You'll get to shore
With more than luck,

Throw a ball in the air,
It comes down.
Drop a penny in the ocean,
It will disappear.
What goes up, must come down.
Though at times,
When things are down,
It seems almost impossible to come up.

Find the penny,

Find a person,

i dont read abstract poetry, so i dont know if this is good or bad for an abstract poem. you did however use a few words to their excess like luck. your message was excellent. made me smile.

I think that this is my favorite poem from you. As a great contrast to your other poems, this one's a bit more hopeful. You tied it together perfectly with the metaphores, and sayings past. Nothing but praise for this poem. Hey, notice something familiar between this poem and our friendship? I do.
