You know you cant succeed with just one go.
I know the fact, its happened before.
But you wont listen anymore.

Please pit your feet back on the ground.
I’m not saying that you cant dream out loud.
But you should try to reach them step by step
Before you do things you’ll regret.

( chorus ):
How far do you thing you can get?
How far do you think you can fly?
You want so bad to win
That you don’t care what is right.
You say you got the world in your hands.
You’re saying that it makes you feel high.
But don’t you understand,
Only clouds can touch the sky.

But tell me, what will happen if you fail
Will you get up and try to start again?
Or will you get so disappointed that
You wont know just where to start?

I know some friends who tried so hard
To reach their dreams with just one touch
They gave everything they ever had
But they didn’t give it from the heart.

(r.chorus)

All I’m asking is for you to try
Slowly one step at a time.
You can still keep your hope up high
But don’t let your mind fly.
And you’ll succeed in time.
And with patience you too will touch the sky.

boy, can i relate to this...i'm valedictorian of my class (as long as i don't lose it this nine weeks) and my goals have always been high. i've thought about whether or not i'll be able to get back up again if i don't succeed. very well written...and i saw there was a chorus, did you make a song out of this?
