Morning, noon and night.
So lost in self pity.
Slowly drowning in my plight.
My road becoming narrow,
Drifting further into sin.
Shining on the outside, dying deep within.
When on this road I stumbled
Falling to my knees,
I realized my "trail of sin"
Had me at my end.
With a heart so very humbled,
I cried unto the Lord,
Reaching up in faith,
He kindly entered in.
By grace He touched my life.
Pressing me close to His heart.
Engulfing me within His holy light,
Loving me from the start.
This "trail of sin" has ended.
His steps I follow close,
With each step keeping Him in sight.
His new trail, is mine to walk
Victory around each bend,
The day I knelt in prayer,
And kindly asked Him in.
I walked the path of sorrow,
Until I asked Him in . . .

I like the closing lines, the way they sum up the story in so few words. May He continue to bless you.

This poem really touches my heart. It is so filled with reality. Many poems have touched my heart. You might have read the one called "Footprints"? by springbrook publication, inc.

That one gets me each time I read it.. happy tears..

Yours just did that to me.. happy, happy, hot loving tears.. oh.. your poem will hit home around the world.

Thank you for posting it..

Yours truly,

Raquel Leah (Poetress)
