A person you have not met
A face you have not seen
Yet a face you can’t forget

I’m missing somebody today
My heart is stricken with grief
I am in such torment now
Bereaved kept from any relief

Begging for an embrace
Quietly I mourn
Over the touch I haven’t felt
Of unmet love forlorn

Sadness for the one I don’t know
Longing for a person I need
Loneliness over a stranger
My distant hope, my only creed

Do you ever feel you’re missing someone?
The one you can’t forget
The face you have not seen
The person you have not met

I’m missing somebody today

Although I don’t know who you are
Or whether you’re near me or afar

I still miss you

Wow Rach!

What an emotional write..
your longing is very evident!

I love the lines:

"Do you ever feel you’re missing someone?
A person you have not met
A face you have not seen
Yet a face you can’t forget"

I'm sure they miss you too.

this is a very good poem. all the words go with the flow of the whole poem. u made it sound like everything came to u exactly how u wrote it. it might have, but it sounds like it too.
