My heart is on fire
The flames dance around my chest
Licking at my skin
Seared flesh glows red
But fades to gray

I watch so stoicly
As my soul decays
I could end this so easily
But I won't
I won't
I won't press down on the bandages
I won't pretend these scars aren't noticeable

Very nice write.. nice contact with self..

I like the word usage here.. nice ideas for explanations of a wounded heart..

but as you know, ending it won't end the situation.. dealing with it will.. pain.. hurt, pain.. but nevertheless.. dealing with it is the best way out ..

I can just see the red hot flames on the chest.. what that heart is doing..

I won't pretend these scars aren't noticeable

I like the ending.. not pretending.. being mature and saying... hey.. I am real.. at least that is how I took it..

Bleeding (Emotionlessly).. heart is dying.. or deadlike.. just hot flaming dead..

or perhaps, the heat will aid it along..

Oh, wow. I don't know what to say. Amazing comes to mind, and I cant really think of anything else. It really hits home, and is easy to relate to. Very, extremely good one.
