Ebony manifestations cloud my thoughts with Nostalgia...

The absence of color is more than I can bear,
The deprivation of life that resides upon a rose's crimson eyelash,
A tulip's soft, lilac bosom,
Wrenches the tattered remains of a heart that I once called my own,
And slowly...

S L O W L Y...

I feel myself wilting,
Like a broken dream crushed under the weight of reality,
It will never come true...
The same with my desire to perceive everything that my eyes can undress and relish...

To savor the vibrant blood of the Sun whilst she lays,
Dying and confident on the horizon,
Knowing she will rise from the ashes of a new Morn once more,
As if a precious wine...
To look at the infinite solitude above,
And not drown within the wretched tediousness of gray,
But the glorious sapphire heavens that I once loved and knew so well...

I am blind to the essence of Nature,
My world a worthless mass of black and white...
I yearn to paint myself in my favorite colors,
A canvas radiating sunrise...

Yet all I create is a decaying image of 5,000 shades of gray...

Well I think i am going to stop writing and
read only your poems since they are so much
better and fulfilling. Anyway, I do not see any
grays that you have created all I see is a
beautiful, captivating write. I just loved it all
you have said so much in these few lines.

"To savor the vibrant blood of the Sun whilst she lays,
Dying and confident on the horizon,"

Those two lines stuck out in particular and
images of the sunsetting filled my mind as I
read that. I'll read your other poem later since
I must go now. Thanks for sharing.
