The one you wear for all occasions, frayed in all the right places
Colors it once boasted like a Cape sunrise have long since faded
Softening and fusing together to confirm its sage-like quality
By no means is it a sad sight, for it wears its love as an old dog would its owner
It always seemed to fit you like a second skin
Wrapped tight around you, still shivering at first but falling into comfort
You look past us all, knowing you’d rather be no place else, and you smile
And the world is warmer when you smile [comments] => 3 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 54 [informant] => Benny14 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )
