Life slips away
Like the waters of a river running wild

One more sunrise
Seen through red eyes
As she hangs her head and cries just like a child

Bad luck or just a twist of fate
that brought her to this place
It doesn't seem to matter much
when tears stream down your face
Too late to mend the fences now
too late to start again
She knows that she was happy once
but cant remember when...

Slowly she'll dress
Hair is a mess
But she don't give a damn, she's all alone

Bitter feelings
Dirty dealings
And a lonely chill that goes right to the bone

She's learned to never trust again
she's leaned that lesson well
No White Knight or no miracles
to free her from this hell
She bangs her fist upon the wall
It's all so damned unfair
She prays to God to give a sign
but he don't seem to care.....

One more sunrise
Seen through red eyes
As she hangs her head and cries just like a child

One more Sunday
Life slips away
Like the waters of a river running wild

Oh I felt the torment and the pain in this one Larry. I perceived this as a woman deceived by her partner. She loved him so very much and he broke the trust she had for him. Sunday was their day spent together. Now she is left lonely with only a broken heart to embrace. Passed caring for herself as her self esteem has hit rock bottom. Life is slipping away from her. Been there a long time ago reminded me of the pain that only I could heal.

Am going to buy myself some roses today and send you one in the post.

I love your writes.

Superb.

Love Angelxxxxx

A sad refrain of someone's pain.....beautifully written, with heartfelt emotion that comes shinning through. Your poetic style seems so delicate, or almost like a dance rhythum. It's hard to describe; but I really like it. It's so poetic.

Good write, my friend

Will

Sad words, indeed, but vividly described. Very well written, as we could not but expect of you, o Larry.
Bravo!

Beautiful write Larry I can relate to these
feelings all to well even though I am not a girl
lol. I loved this and whatever you write about
you always put so much emotion and depth
into it that draws the writer right into the
poem. Thanks for sharing this.
