Me And A Flask

It’s a beautiful night I’m here alone,
Me and a flask, turned off my phone.
Got my laptop on, writing a letter,
Tucked up warm my heart feels better.
I tell my friend what she should do,
“I’d dump him now if I was you.”.
I lie back down and turn off the light,
Why do I so enjoy the night?
Tori Amos sings a torch song to me,
From the stereo on Mp3
Keeps me company when I’m tired,
So through the night I can be wired.
I am so relaxed as I drift to sleep,
I don’t need the sheep like Little Bo Peep.
I am swirling in tea and pianos and love,
Perhaps it’s just practice for Heaven above?
When I die I want to go,
Not on a crash in the driven snow.
But snug and warm in my own bed,
With a cosy pillow under my head.
