Still in Afghanistan and about two weeks from heading back to NY....Time to knock the dust off....
All pause for which is this she brings
Warmth, desire, and a stirring of thought
Ceding her dreams on angelic wings
Wrest not the want, from a weary heart
Her passion at which, set heaven afire
Cast down despite beauty, all for cause
To arms that await her, with fondest desire
What earth hath gained, be heaven’s loss
One gaze, one embrace, to know her kiss
Hold dear the dreams of blissful entreat
Beseeching a chance of non-remiss
Surrender to her whim, none so sweet
Enchanting all with her most Heavenly charms
None so blessed than to be in her arms…
