Tales I've been told and stories I have read, yet knowing no evidence of their existence...until tonight.
Tales I've been told and stories I have read,
yet knowing no evidence of their existence...until tonight.
For I possess no qualm on this eve,
that mine ears have identified the voice of an angel.
Her tone fluttered as the wings of butterflies,
yielding gentle waves of lexis.
Like rain, her words fell upon me.
Steeping my exterior, drenching my mind and soul.
I sat mesmerized by the chords of her vocabulary,
as they scored a ballad not even I could refuse to dance to.
So serene, so comforting.
I found myself as an infant,
cradled in her voice,
as it's lullaby sang me to sleep.
I possess no qualm on this eve,
that mine ears have identified the voice of an angel.
