SOMETHING STIRS

Contributed by emystar on Tuesday, September 22 2009 @ 00:01:20 AEST
Topic: 0oops No Topic - General Poetry!
That feeling deep down in the pit of ones stomach

Her inner turmoil needs instent healing.
They just keep kicking her way down.
She hangs on for dear life, still.
It's high time for things to turn around.

Something stirs deeper than oceans floor.
Higher than skys above us.
Oh God of love, greater than human's strength.
Time for a major change, you we trust.

My heart aches at hate they spit out.
She has a broken heart but loving still.
It's good that judgement belongs to you.
Agony, angry pain is what they instill.

Give her credit for good she's always done.
Bring her tormentors to their evil knees.
Show them great father of us all.
Let them seek forgiveness in their evil deeds.

Their hearts are stone cold, hard, dead.
Yes we know you will forgive them too.
She only knows love in her aching soul.
First they must learn to bow before you.

Beautifully written but hard for me to read...
struck a nerve with me, but that is what makes it so good...
truly forgiveness is the key....
Great job as always!

I await the day when the wrath does arrive,to see these Democracies, and so called puritans tremble on their knees as the one 's they have wronged are immersed in the grace that our Father is. For his word is bond nice lines-Morgues

My dear sweet Emy,
I was so awed by this poem Emy, because you centered our Loving Creator as your theme. If when being "downtroddened" whomever you may be, you will concentrate on Him and not yourself, it can be very comforting, and helps one to know He is control, and not ourselves.
I hope this was not you dear Emy, but if it was, then I know you will do just fine if you continue to lean on Him heavily.
You're in my prayers asl well.
Warm love
Momconsue

emy, this also struck a chord in me. Very emotive and painful as heck.
My dear friend there is so much anger and hate in this world -- I love
that you've been able to capture the soul of truth in this piece. We
all deserve to be loved and accepted. It's too bad so many do not
understand and respect that. :(

*huge hugs*

BRAVO!BRAVO!BRAVO! Dear Emy,
I was just commenting about :"feelings"
So many have lost their "feelings" and especially their feeling of love. When this happens they attack you because you still have yours.
This is such a meaningful poem for you, but also anyone that has been put through "the fire"
Your faithfulness and endurance amazes me dear..........Hang on........and never fear, for He is always near.
Love you
momconsue

This has many aspects to it that are thought provoking. It has love, strength, hope justice and most of all...faith.

Kicked down and trodden, with a tenacity to hold on. Praying for things to change, this all comes to mind when I read this.
The heart and soul of this piece is raw emotion. I really enjoyed reading this.
