We had nothing to say when you stopped screaming at last,
We had nothing to say cos we knew you wouldn’t change,
So all that is left are the memories we have.
You twisted your heart out with your own hand,
You said that it was just a phase,
That you were nothing but depressed.
Justice was served when you fell over and died,
Emerge from the murky deep and fight the light,
Break through the water grab hold of the air.

The birds had nothing to say when you fell right off the world and your screams died away,
And they had nothing to say,
When they saw you try to breathe,
Before you killed yourself.
Just a tortured soul thrown out to sea,
But we still have to fix people’s broken dreams,
We have to clean up the mess you left behind.
Do we have time to change?
Before it’s too late and it all goes to waste,
Will it work itself out if we wait long enough?
