Thorns

Contributed By: adsalamon
Black thorns scratch at my heart
Its vines twisting in knots, suffocate
Bitter poison seeps through open wounds
My soul lies naked, torn and beaten
My spirit swings from a noose up high
Vultures tear the flesh of my mind
The walls of my castle lay as rubble
Weeds poke through cracks like forests
Seeds of despair you sowed take root
