I thought he was real
I thought he was true
or else I would have never introduced you 2
I thought he wasn't like that
I thought he wasn't fake
I thought genuine was something he could be
your friends and mine, knew him,
so how bad could he be

then the truth I started to see
as the jealousy began
as he didn't even want you to be my friend
as he hated us goin out together
and thought we were hoes out on the dance floor
but everynite he left you home all alone
while out wit his boys he would roam

I started seein the abuse
only cuz thats what im used to
I started seein all the signs
one after another
the pain, and girl you were blind
love makes you that way
but it doesnt' make you hurt
I tried to talk to you, before it got any worse
all you could tell me, was,
babygurl I can't leave him now
for I gave him a part of me
and he was my first
babygurl I know this, but you gotta be strong
you are gorgeous and deserve better all along

Im sorry I believed in him, and believed in you
thought you two, could be true
now its all blown up
and its all over ur face
the bruises, the blood, the blackened eyes
babygurl look in the mirror and realize
he dont love you, he dont care
all his words are, is drugged up lines
line a addict, he does it time after time
believe it will happen again
cuz guys like him, dont ever learn, they just try to win
they are filled with hate, anger, and sin

babygurl come here and let me hold you
let me show you your true worth
dont let him bring you down
dont let me have to see you in a hearse

LEAVE before this gets any worse

I wish you would have listened,
I wish I would have stopped it
I wish I could have been there
would have done sumthin to save you
but time takes its toll

it was a good *** night
who knew it would be our last
dancin and laughin forgettin about all your fights
then we lost track of time
a couple minutes late
and he lost control
girl, thats all the police know
I was the last person who saw you alive
Now everyones lookin at me

I juz close my blood shot eyes
tears streamin from my face
and wish that I could have saved you
cuz now your up above in a better place
but im stuck here, with tear filled fate
broken soul, and broken heart
wishin I could have saved you
never introduced you to the devil from the start
