“I’m Sorry” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 01/22

Woke up today at three A.M.
It’s now day three without you
Hung over, weak, and miserable
Can’t hide my eyes, I tried to.

Be just another ice cold day
Still can’t believe we’re through
It’s freezing cold, I’m all alone
With nothing left to cling to.

Last night I drank my anger
Today, I’ll face my reality
I’ll have to try to figure
What now is left here for me.

I must admit this to you
If ever, you should read this
I never shall forget you
You were my light in darkness.

I’m not at all upset with you
Just dealing with my grief
I don’t want you to think so
I’m sorry you can’t see.

I said some things I shouldn’t
I hope you can understand
I released some of my tension
To help me comprehend.

I hate it that you walked out
I guess it was best for you
I’m sorry that I wasn’t all
You needed me to be to.

I’m so sorry that I pushed you
For that, I take the blame
I’m sorry that I pressured you
I’m sorry, I drove you away.

I’m sorry, I wasn’t good enough
I did everything that I could
I’m sorry you said goodbye to me
I now feel so misunderstood.

I’m Sorry!!!
