Depressed…I’m still spiraling down
This abyss in my mind just because
I’m broken, my last love is gone
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Dejected…I’m still falling down
That false hope you gave just because
You’ve detached, me from myself
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Condemned…to my personal darkness
You forced me here just because
You felt, you could never love me
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Inadequate…left feeling worthless
You brought it all on just because
You never considered how I’d feel
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Denied…to ever feel love again
It was your choice alone just because
You didn’t even break it off gently
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Committed…and left to feel nothing
You spilled the cold truth just because
I’m sure it was easier to write it down
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Trapped…in my own self pity
Forever this way just because
You’ve broken me to blindness
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Separated…my last hope is gone
I blame you for that just because
You used my last chance, threw it away
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Confined…to the darkest of holes
I’ll never get out just because
You buried my heart so cruelly
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.

Finally…you told me the truth
It had to be done just because
You lied all the times you were staying
It Wasn’t Almost Goodbye, It Was.
