I thought that I was through
I thought I never again would
Cry tears over you

I thought my pain had ended
And that I no longer cared
About the end to the friendship
We for so long had shared

But then I found a memory
The last one that we had
And instantly the tears were back
I rediscovered all the sad

In some ways I'm ashamed
You still have the power to hurt me
But I can't say I'm surprised
This is how I never wanted it to be

We lost our sisterly painful bond
We've faded into something you can't see
But, though hurt, I'm not surprised
This is how I hated thinking it would be [comments] => 6 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 16 [informant] => Savannah [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Still Making Me Cry
