Life is a quilt made of love and lies
A fractious form of cruel good-byes
The innocent die young
Lives so far flung

Vapid eyes rest on sepulchral lies
It's been blazoned across the skies
Innocent - young, lost to the seas
What's left is there for ease

Lives so far flung
Left to those who die young
The age of twenty - nothing left but there's plenty
Transient lives stick it through - by and by

It's over, leave it be
Nothing left but you and me
You died today but it's not over
I'm lost and no longer sober

Against the current, I push for for my rights
For one more chance underneath the lights
I can't believe I died
I can't believe you all have lied

Love's life lost long ago
Left here is death and sorrow
Dream of the life once sewn
No longer beaten or blown

The wisdom eats away
But there's noone left to say "I love you anyway"
It's all behind us
The truth is within us

What's left for me and my love thee
A scopic view of her last longing cries
A fractious form of cruel good-byes
And through the lens, I see
A last attempt to destroy my very last plea
