Cold dark and hollow
Lonely
Bleeds from within
Cries out in silence
Pleas falling on uncaring ears
I take the knife
Pierce my flesh
Life force drains from my body
Punish myself
I'm not perfect not close
I am nothing not many but one
I cause only misery and disgust
Look down on me I see
I finally understand
This is something that I must now do
Blade in deeper
Blood flows darker red
I lay in my misery
I soon will be dead
You'll bury my body deep in the earth
Forget I existed I was just a bad dream
And now I am gone
You can have all that you want
Without me to stand in your way
I will lay in the earth
Cold and alone
Rotting in peace
Finally at rest [comments] => 4 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 13 [informant] => RavenShadows [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Darkness

My soul
Cold dark and hollow
Lonely
Bleeds from within
Cries out in silence
Pleas falling on uncaring ears
I take the knife
Pierce my flesh
Life force drains from my body
Punish myself
I'm not perfect not close
I am nothing not many but one
I cause only misery and disgust
Look down on me I see
I finally understand

I soon will be dead
You'll bury my body deep in the earth
Forget I existed I was just a bad dream
And now I am gone
You can have all that you want
Without me to stand in your way
I will lay in the earth
Cold and alone
Rotting in peace
Finally at rest
