Whilst under the shower,
Maybe cleaning oneself
Has inspirational power?

Thereon after drying
The rhymes I rehearse,
Repeating and jumbling them
Verse after verse.

Most often they're scribbled
By this dim bedside light,
Then sitting to my desk
Feeling now's time to write.

Although meant to be tucking
Oneself into bed,
Into Word97
Type the thoughts from my head.

It's here I stay sat
So my nest has to wait,
Little clock's in the corner
For reminding how late.

When just about finished
Time's become early morn,
Peeks the sun through my window
Again already dawn!

So then all of the verses
Get quickly run through,
Replacing me's and I's
When spotting more than two.

Arriving at the title
Is left until the end,
If done in the beginning
It's altered time and again.

Then connecting to the web
And Your-Poetry Dot Com,
Who forgot to sign out again!
Been logged in all along.

Never mind, it's off I go
To submit my rhyming plot,
Copy and Paste all the words
Into this verse melting pot.

Adding a little comment
Hopeful enticement for your read,
The trick is really knowing
What to write as ones plead.

Then it's one, two, three and four
Sometimes five final checks,
As spelling something wrong
Would in me cause a wreck!

The decision about topic
Is the hardest by far,
Usually ending by choosing
The most fitting avatar.

At the end of this all
It's sent with one click,
All the way around the world
Downunder to our Mick.

Now off back to home
To give others my read,
Where I'll find the best authors
Writing wonderfully indeed!

A while later this day
My poem magically appears,
The read total and comments rise
Your lovely words allay my fears.
