now i'm
gaining focus on the matter
forget the night it's getting sadder
it wishes all my dreams i've had and
it paints the scene for a brand new day
i'm losing focus on the printing
i look again to get me thinking
i've settled over abstaining drinking
right in the peace without going to pieces
so i scheme a bit on what to do now
i dream again and think you through
why does the day stretch so long
until the night begins to come in a surprise
i'll skip the day to sleep on in
i know just what i will be getting
sometime i'll mistake and wake up
in the picture real with you right in it

well here i am
bent out of shape
but there's no escape i want to take now
so here i go
trying to feel great
no matter what the ache i'll break the hurt

now i
went to school to settle down
failed every rule to figure out
just what this thing is all about
but i never came down upon a simple answer
there's no answer hidden in a book
i tried each day to take a look
i lied to my own in a fickle home
right soon i came right into a real thing
so i think it's over having fun
turns out there is another one
always endless and never done
my plate is full and cup is overflowing
i'll meet you soon to see you there
up in your room with little care
of my situated messed up living
clock is ticking and i can't waste time with you

well here i am
bent out of shape
but there's no escape i want to take now
so here i go
trying to feel great
no matter what the ache i'll break the hurt

strung high in a surprise
here i am
there's no escape i want to take now
this life does not seem mine
here i am
there's no escape i want to take now
can't hide from every "why?"
here i go
and at each ache i'll break the hurt
my eye has caught your eye
here i go
and at each ache i'll break the hurt
