The Rose of Love

Dazzling red radiance, with a touch of pink,
the rose of love gleams brightly
in the milky moonlight, in the young lover's eyes,
ever-beautiful, charming, and decadent,
the rose, free of jagged, hurtful thorns,
wafts its scent into the noses,
prances its loveliness before the eyes,
and smoothes its petals against the lover's arms,
capturing the two in a spell of bliss,
where a kiss is sweeter than sugar
and a caress is tender and splendid,
petals take flight, swirling beneath the moonshine,
dancing as quickly as the lover's hearts' beat,
happily drifting with the clouds above,
while the young lover's hold one another, mystified,
as the radiant rose of love feeds upon the night.
