Icicle

a pointed crystalized raindrop
hangs from the roof
what a strong, frozen will
it stays perfectly clear
the icicle begins to cry
its tears slide smoothly down its body
and freeze to its jagged tip in the bitter cold
the icicle grows larger with each session of crying
what a miracle of natural beauty it is
it should not be taken for granted
isn't it a true spectacle of magnificence when tiny droplets of water freeze to form beautiful, individual ice sculptures
that hang from our roofs?
