Anita, Anita - when you meeta
You’ll think she’s nothing that special
For she’s rather plain, an average Jane
But to get your attention, she’s quite able

She went to a meeting, a social greeting
Hoping to make new connections
She headed for the city, humming a ditty
Unaware she was in for affection

She wore a nametag, and like a flag
She waved it right front of their faces
As other guests arrived, there by her side
Unknowing she requested their embraces

As they read her name, they all did same
Each one gave her a squeeze and a kiss
To Anita’s delight, it continued all night
‘Twas just like she had always wished!

So unexpected, she’d never of guessed it
That they would all find her impressive
To stupid to know, she remained all aglow
Until one of them up and confessed it

It wasn’t heartfelt, and although misspelt
They seemed instructions, sure enough
With what her note stated, they felt obligated
So they just gave her a hug and stuff!
